Determination of the energy potential of autonomous object and its use
Dohnal, Josef ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to refer briefly about possibilities of obtaining energy from locally available resources for autonomous object and the definition of the term – an autonomous object. This bachelor´s thesis mentions processes how to gain energy from different sources, possibilities of their implementation (from a legislative perspective) or suggestions on how to save gained energy. We are concerned in the autonomous objects primarily and in the acquisition of heat and electrical energy, so the thesis is also divided into two main subsections dedicated to determining the required amount of the energy that would cover our demand for it. The next section briefly discusses the construction of Savonius wind turbine generator which we can build ourselves. This is a hybrid system that consists of a solar photovoltaic panel and the wind turbine with the appropriate electrical devices. Construction of Savonius wind turbine is documented in the chapter Appendix, where you can find photographs showing construction phases. It should be noted that the construction is not completed and the determination of some parameters were not possible technically at home. These measurements would be flawed. Individual issues are then briefly explained and described how they would be in the ideal case. In conclusion, the procedure for calculating is outlined by the method called NPV (Net Present Value), which is often used.
What Are the Possibilities of Using Swimming Pool Wastewater Heat?
Predajnianska, Anna
Thermal baths in Slovakia are producers of wastewater, which have considerable enegry potential. Wastewater often exceeds the maximum temperature that can be discharged to the recipient without harming the environment. In many cases, this requirement is not met, and swimming pool operators must face sanctions for environmental pollution. The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of using the energy potential of wastewater, which would ensure its required temperature.

Energy Potential of Central Asia
Brožová, Jana ; Kašpar, Václav (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
The diploma thesis called Energy Potential of Central Asia aims to assess the potential of this region as a supplier of resources of energy. In the first part the basic trends in the area of consumption and production of energy resources are summarized. In the second part the countries of Central Asia region disposing of extensive oil and gas reserves are briefly introduced. The third part describes in detail the oil and gas reserves, firstly considering the whole world and secondly for each of the countries independently. The fourth part describes the options of transport of the energy supplies from Central Asia to consumers' markets in Western Europe, China and India. The last part deals shortly with characterization of approach of the major world and regional powers to this area.
